AIM provided design, permitting, and construction services for replacing the failing S-VL-1 weir, and relocating it for easier maintenance. The project included hydraulic analysis, soil stabilization, and an innovative fiber-reinforced catwalk while minimizing impacts on nearby utilities and a middle school.

AIM conducted the PD&E analysis and design for widening Littleton Road in Lee County, including realignment, intersection improvements, and a multilane roundabout at Corbett Road. The project featured multi-modal upgrades, stormwater management, expedited permitting, and utility coordination to reach construction within a year.

AIM was contracted by FDOT District One to manage the widening of 3.219 miles of SR 82 from a two-lane highway to a four-lane divided roadway, with provisions for future expansion to six lanes. The project, which won the 2022 FTBA Best in Construction award for Community Awareness, includes bike lanes, a multi-use trail, sidewalks, and a roundabout at the SR 29 intersection.

AIM is developing a 3.6-mile trail gap in Volusia County, linking Lake Beresford Park to DeLand. This project is part of the 260-mile St. Johns River to Sea Loop and is funded by the Florida SUN Trail Program.

For nearly 20 years, AIM has provided PD&E and NEPA support to FDOT, securing multiple contracts, including two consecutive five-year/$5 million agreements for District One. AIM’s expertise spans engineering, environmental analysis, public engagement, and project management, with notable work like the I-75 Collector/Distributor Roadway Construction Staging Plan in Lee County.

AIM provided surveying, design, permitting, and construction services for the Residence Inn at Gulf Coast Town Center, meeting an aggressive timeline. Ongoing coordination allowed for design adjustments, while an underground stormwater system prevented ponding and ensured guest comfort.

AIM is supporting FDOT’s I-75 widening project, improving capacity and safety along 18.5 miles between Golden Gate Parkway and Corkscrew Road. Construction begins in fall 2027.
